Know Your Therapist
Hello! My name is Pranshu Lohiya. I have completed my M.Sc. in Counselling Psychology and my formal training as a counselor from Christ University, Bangalore. I am also registered as a counselor under the National Commission of Allied Healthcare Professionals (NCAHP).
I borrow heavily from existential and humanistic schools of counseling, which believes that most human suffering is a by-product of existence itself. I believe that while no one can avoid the distress life has to offer, one can still strive to find meaning, and live a fulfilling life.
While I primarily work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and SFBT as approaches to deliver therapeutic interventions. However, I believe in tailoring the sessions according to the unique needs and context of the clients.
